 Pavo Podo®Lac 

A high-quality stud feed providing essential nutrients to the unborn foal and supporting milk production after foaling. Pavo Podo®Lac has been specifically formulated to provide vital nutritional support to mares during pregnancy and lactation. High quality proteins provide the optimal amounts of essential amino acids such as lysine and methionine for optimal tissue development. Balanced levels of vitamins and minerals are provided alongside chelated trace elements to further support correct bone and collagen development in the foal.

Podo®Lac Indoor Season (November to May) has been designed for breeding mares during the winter months who are fed a predominantly preserved forage based diet. The amount of vitamin E in winter grass, hay and haylage is much lower than that of summer grass therefore Podo®Lac Indoor season contains a very much higher level of vitamin E than Podo®Lac Outdoor season (June to October).

Pavo Podo®Lac is Step 1 in guiding mare and foal.

Application

  • Step 1 of the Pavo breeding range. For mares from the ninth month of pregnancy, or earlier to support good body condition, until the end of lactation. 

 

Feeding advice
  • 9th - 11th month of gestation: 0.42 kg per 100 kg bodyweight per day

  • 1st - 4th month of lactation: 0.65 kg per 100 kg bodyweight per day

  • 5th - 6th month of lactation: 0.35 kg per 100 kg bodyweight per day, slowly switch to normal feed during this period

  • The required amount depends on grazing and quality of roughage
